This Saturday another Kowal will enter the family. Joe and Wendy will get married at
noon this coming Saturday. Wendy is a schoolteacher from Lima and Joe still works at Air Enterprises. Wendy is a terrific person and we are all really glad that she is becoming a part of our family. Wendy has a daughter who currently works with a professor at Notre Dame College. We wish them the best of luck in the coming months as they begin their life together.
Joe and Wendy to get married Saturday
July 24, 2009Eric quoted in article about yearbooks
February 15, 2009”I want to be able to remember my classmates in the future,” explained Green senior Todd Starkey. ”The yearbook crew always makes them great.”
That’s what Eric Poston, student editor of the yearbook staff at Green, likes to hear. About half of the high school student body has bought yearbooks, a number that has stayed consistent the past few years.
”I am grateful that students think so highly of the yearbook staff,” a proud Poston said. ”The entire staff puts a lot of hard work in the book each day.”

Another crash of my laptop
December 3, 2008I have about had it. Not really, but it sounded good. This morning I tried to start my laptop and it wouldn’t start. A very similar situation to what happened back in May. This time I decided to handle the problem myself and not bug my dad about it. So I called Dell and got some answers. They had me run some tests and what you know, something is wrong with my hardrive. I am kind of glad that something is wrong with it rather than just re-formating like I did in May.
Dell is sending me another hardrive on Thursday and I should be back up and running.
Few changes to the blog
May 15, 2008You may notice a few changes in the coming week to the blog. I am adding some features and making it a lot better. On the right is a list of recent posts which you can find any story.
Also along the top is a nav. bar that list pages of the blog. Right now the only page is about me.
I am going to start posting more often on this blog.
Back to school
August 30, 2007School is back in full swing and so far I am enjoying it. I am going to really try and start using this blog more. You can catch my weekly column on this blog and many other stories that aren’t on my website.
I am in the process of still getting my website fixed up after we had to change the editing software last month.
Hope everyone is well, and look for more posts here.
Eric’s letter to the ABJ
July 31, 2007Published July 25:
Page One material
In response to Rikki Dixon’s July 13 letter (“Tire story did not belong on front page”): The July 9 “Joe’s tire” story did deserve to be on Page One.
It took a look into how Goodyear makes its race tires, and this is a local company that deserves credit.
We can all read about Iraq and other world issues online or inside our paper. The news on Iraq is everywhere, but stories on local companies aren’t.
Staff writer Jim Mackinnon and the Beacon Journal did a great job of writing this article and putting it on the front page.
